Minnesota Commuter Check Program
Sponsoring Agencies: Commuter Check in Minnesota is sponsored by
Metro Commuter Services (www.metrocommuterservices.org). It is
also supported by the Downtown Minneapolis Transportation Management Organization,
Saint Paul Transportation Management Organization and I-494 Joint Powers Organization.
Participating Agencies: Metro Transit, Metro Mobility, Laidlaw
Transit, Maple Grove Transit, Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, North Suburban
Lines, Plymouth Metrolink, Southwest Metro Transit, University of Minnesota Transit,
registered vanpools including VPSI (Van Pool Services Inc.), private and state owned
van services, and other eligible transit providers. Any Minnesota transit service
using passes, tickets or tokens can participate.

Stored value cards
The $10, $15 and $20 Stored Value Cards are popular with infrequent riders. Using
Commuter Checks, there is a minimum purchase of $20. Multiple cards can be purchased
by combining Commuter Check denominations.
Vanpool fares
Various combinations of Commuter Checks allow van riders to pay for fares up to
the tax-free monthly maximum of $110.
